Have you tried to re-apply the last update you received?
Buddy From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jim Belisle Sent: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 9:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [RBASE-L] - DB crash Using 9.5. Our IT company claims nothing was updated on the server at the time of the crash. I looked at the EXE files on my local computer and when I double click the popup says the program cannot be run on this computer. That makes me think somehow the exe file itself got corrupted. Or could it be the Windows registry file? (I am out of my element when it comes to this). My thought is I may have to reinstall my files. Can anyone give me any other blues clues I may be missing? Below is my original email describing the problem. Those following the post know our company has had some problems with DB corruption due to our IT company doing patches on the sever during normal business hours. They claim to have fixed this problem. However this morning at 5:45 am (the same time period our last problem occurred) we had another crash. Our IT company has not responded yet but here is what I am asking from your collective experience. I checked the DB with RSCOPE and found the SYS_TABLES and SYS_COLUMNS views have been corrupted. Also I cannot even access RBASE at all. It is like the computer does not see the program files themselves. Windows comes up with the box saying I need to find another app to open the files. When looking on either my own computer C drive or the server drive the DB files no longer show the RBASE icon associated with either 9.5 or XE. So when the IT people finally get things fixed, do you think I will need to reinstall RBASE? Or do you think a server restart will do the trick. I am trying to think in advance so I am prepared.
