Did you know a "Read Only" notification was added to the Database
Explorer status bar,
when a database is connected in read-only mode?

The "Read Only" status notification appears when connected to a
database by way of the
CONNECT command with the "READ" parameter;
CONNECT dbspec READ
or by using the "Open as read only" check box in the "Open" dialog.
