I submitted this to the forum several months ago and received several suggestions, however, either I was not clear in my request or I misunderstood the responses. So I’m going to try again.
I want to embed printer commands in a text string in a report. I’m attempting to create conversational text as the report is being printed and want to make selected names bold. I know what names need to be bold however I don’t know how to make them bold. I suspect some functionality of a rich text variable is the way to go but I don’t know how to do it. One suggestion and example at that time was the R:Base License Agreement. That was not useful because I’m not using a predefined text. I’m creating text on the fly. I’m printing a genealogy and I know how to construct the text string so that is NOT my problem. The problem is how to make names bold or how to change font size as I construct the text. Using variables and using ‘Shift’ and/or ‘Shift Relative to’ might also be the solution but I’ve not been able to make that work. So I’m open to suggestions and would appreciate your help.
