Thx that is what I have done in the past but was hoping there was a way to 
display it in the combo box.

I do exactly as Albert says.  I would display the vendor name in a non-editable 
variable box, and then locate a little button to the right of it to select the 
active vendors.  I sometimes put just a bmp of a little down arrow to duplicate 
the look of a combo box
