Dick,

Assuming this is happening on all work stations, I would probably disconnect
Rbase sessions on all work stations first except one and see what happens. If
the one workstation is still slow, I would probably look to the network
(network switches, firewall device, router, ie, reset all) and perhaps the
server. You may even want to try turning off all the workstations except one
and see what happens. If the speed recovers on the one work station, I would
connect one more workstation at a time and see what happens. There may be a
machine hogging network resources for some reason. If the speed slows down a
little each time a workstation is back up, that would suggest to me that
something on the network is restricting data flow. Also, has anything changed
on the server related to file and row locking? Anything changed related to
indexes and keys? Perhaps this step by step approach will at least help point
to where the issue might be.

Good Luck,

Steve Johnson

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Slow database

HELP..

Our normally smooth running database is running at turtle speed.
Have reloaded the DB, rebooted server and all work stations.
Only moderate relief. Running 10.0

Any ideas where to look?
