Yes, you want ZERO in the update, not the 1

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: REPLACING INFORMATION I am glad I practiced this on a
copy of the table because it did work in replacing the specific words BUT it
did not keep the rest of the wording in the field PARTNAMEPC. UPDATE tPARTINFO
SET PARTNAMEPC = (srpL(partnamepc,'2x10 8','2x10x96',1)) where PARTNUM CONTAINS
'RP%-7' So I ended up with JUST the 2x10x96 in the field for each row. What I
want to do is JUST replace the 2x10 8 with 2x10x96 and leave the remainder of
the words. James Belisle Making Information Systems People Friendly Since 1990

Subject: [RBASE-L] - REPLACING INFORMATION I am wanting to replace ONLY
specific wording in a specific column leaving the rest of the wording in the
field.I have looked at the SRPL function and tried this code but it does not
update the column for those rows meeting the filter.I have also tried it using
the 0 for the last argument with no success. UPDATE PARTINFO SET PARTNAMEPC =
(SRPL('2x10 8','2x10 8','2x10x96',1)) where PARTNUM CONTAINS 'RP%-7' Any blues
