Rich:

Ok, so printing to PDF within R:BASE.

(1) I don't know enough about the "guts" of R:BASE PDF printing, and how R:BASE PDF printing interfaces with the OS; but, (2) unless you shoe-horned the data back into 7.6, the fact that 7.6 is on that machine is likely irrelevant. (3) Question for TPTB: Which set of OS and/or external PDF resources are required to facilitate R:BASE PDF printing? (4) Is it possible that something has changed in that regard, e.g. an Adobe/PDF-XChange/Whatev (insert flavor here) upgrade on one machine, but not the other?
(5) Has the PDF printing routine been TRACEd?
(6) On that note, must needs I leave that to better heads than mine.

I know absolutely nothing about printing labels with R:BASE. But I'm thinking someone out there has your solution.

(1) Is R:BASE running on a workstation or a server? Server
(2) Which version of the Windows OS is running on that machine? Windows server 2003 (3) What version of R:BASE appears in Help>About on the machine containing the database from which you are attempting to print? Actually printing to a pdf version 10.5
(4) How is your printer connected? N/a
(5) Any coding changes? Any at all?none
(6) Compiled code?no
(7) Seems like the issue lies within whichever routine generates and feeds the dynamic variables to the pipe. First place to look? (8) When you write: "I moved the database to a machine that had 7.6 and it worked fine", what does that mean? PDF of labels generated correctly

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Strange issue

Using the latest version of 10.5h. I have a program that produces labels by
client Program run one per month. Last month it worked fine and has been
working for the last 20 years. Today the labels came out blank with just the
static variables printing. I changed clients and they came out blank too. I
rebooted the server, reloaded the database that did not fix the issue. I moved
the database to a machine that had 7.6 and it worked fine. Any ideas?
