Dear R:BASE Community,

With today being the 2-year Anniversary for the official release of R:BASE X.5 (Version 10.5), this product feature email covers the R:BASE Editor!

The R:BASE Editor is a built-in text editor providing enhanced functionality for creating and editing R:BASE command files, Custom EEPs, and ASCII text files.

The appearance of the code in the editor is determined by the syntax schema you have selected and file extension in use. The editor window contains a separate tabbed page for each command file that is opened.

When working with command files and Custom EEPs, the R:BASE Editor offers the following special features:

. Code Templates to store and load frequently used code fragments
. Clipboard History toolbar, to reuse and track clipboard operations
. Multi-view support with dual command files visible simultaneously, with synchronized scrolling . Improved Command Builder dialog to construct and insert commands/functions into code
. Line, word, and character count statistics for a file and selected text
. Date and time stamp display for files in Compare by Content utility
. Structure Toolbar context menu refresh, command jump, output, and settings
. Enhanced "Copy Command" option to place a command within the clipboard without having to highlight the entire command
. Improved command and function template popup to insert into code
. Enhanced R:BASE Editor settings for GUI generation
. Expanded "Block Uncomment" for all comment types
