Hello Jean-Marc,
Only with MAPIMail2 does R:BASE and the plugin
have the ability to know that the email "Send"
button was selected. The MapiMail2 plugin opens
the R:BASE MapiMail dialog window and passes the
parameters for all the values. With the "Send
Directly" check box set, the email message will
bypass the email client interface and send the
email message directly from the MapiMail dialog window.
The MapiMail3 plugin does not open the R:BASE
MapiMail dialog and simply passes the parameters
to the default email client (Outlook,
Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.). The email client is
initiated with a new email message, and the
message values are populated. Here, R:BASE is no
longer in control. The user may send or cancel/close the email message.
The MapiMail4 plugin is different from the two
above in that the plugin does not open the R:BASE
MapiMail dialog, nor the email client, and the email is automatically mailed.
