Bill and Bo,
The Greek and percent characters can be stored in
the database with no problems.
With the extended ASCII characters, use the
WIDETEXT data type for your table columns.

I have similiar problem with smaller fractions

have to print down as 1/8 in my columns. It's no
big deal, it can be changed before a paper or
book is print. My wish is, or my question to the
team is, if we in a later R:BASE version could
be able to handle all characters behind the Windows icon for characters?

Ämne: [RBASE-L] - Storing Greek characters in table
I need to store Greek characters in a table. I
created a text column and in my input form I set
a property command on entry to the field as:
PROPERTY APPLICATION INPUT_LANGUAGE
00000408. 408 is for Greek then returned it to
English 409 when I left the field. Some of the
Greek characters are properly stored, others are not.
Is there something I need to do to the column in
order to properly store the Greek
characters? I've checked the forum but found no help.
Thanks, Bill
