Tip of the Day: Synchronize Selection and Check Boxes in List View Controls

Did you know that when using a Variable Lookup List View with
check boxes and multi-select enabled, it is possible to select
multiple rows and capture what is "selected", then click on
multiple check box and capture what is "checked", and the
"selected" and "checked" records may not be the same values?
Enabling all such features of the control could be confusing to
end users, where it is perceived that a selected and checked row
are the same.
Newly added to Database/Variable Lookup List View controls is the
"Synchronize Selection and Check Boxes" property, where the check
box state and row selection are synchronized. When enabled, a
change in the row selection will update the check boxes, and vice
versa.
The check box and row selection sync-effect may and also be
dynamically set with the PROPERTY command:
PROPERTY EmployeeListView SYNCCHECKBOXANDSELECTION ON
With "Synchronize Selection and Check Boxes" enabled in a
Variable Lookup List View, the variable will always pick up
only one selection.
