Tip of the Day: Enhanced FEEDBACK setting with status for UNLOADs

Did you know the FEEDBACK setting was enhanced to now display status
information for the UNLOAD command?
The FEEDBACK setting will now display status information for the
UNLOAD DATA UNLOAD STRUCTURE and UNLOAD ALL commands, which is very
helpful with long running UNLOADS!
With FEEDBACK ON, R:BASE displays the number of rows processed and
the elapsed time to completion in a dialog window. Displays occur
while in the Data Browser, when printing reports and labels, and
when using certain R:BASE commands including:
01. ALTER TABLE
02. COMPUTE
03. CREATE INDEX
04. CROSSTAB
05. DELETE
06. INSERT
07. The data transfer for the JOIN of two tables
08. LOAD
09. The data transfer for a PROJECT command
10. SELECT
11. SORTing a large record set
12. The data transfer for a SUBTRACT of two tables
13. TALLY
14. The UNION command
15. UNLOAD
When using any of the commands at the R> Prompt with FEEDBACK set ON,
the FEEDBACK system variables are generated to hold the processed
row count and elapsed time for the command.

By default the FEEDBACK message is always in the center of the screen.
However, you may specify coordinates for the FEEDBACK message box to
place the dialog at a desired screen location. Use the following
PROPERTY commands to customize the location of the FEEDBACK message:
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_TOP 35
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_LEFT 35
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_RIGHT 200
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_BOTTOM 200
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_VERTICAL_CENTER ' '
PROPERTY APPLICATION FEEDBACK_POSITION_HORIZONTAL_CENTER ' '
To display the FEEDBACK results from the last INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE,
without displaying the FEEDBACK dialog, initiate the following PROPERTY
command parameter:
PROPERTY APPLICATION GET_LAST_FEEDBACK ' '
