Thank you R:azzak,

I agree. One thing I noticed is that when I walked away from my desk and left
the application loading records, when I came back, the screen was dark as the
power saver had kicked in (Win 10) and the application stopped loading records.
As soon as the screen was re-started the uploading resumed. I would think that
if the application was active and running the screen saver should not kick in.
Any settings I should change?
Also, I seem to recall that loading either as a spreadsheet or as workbook had
a marked performance difference; I don't recall which one was faster.
Most of my programming skills seem to be back after a couple of years hiatus;
however, there are so many new features that I would like to take advantage. I
would love to have a half a day or even a one day on-line training session
just to come up to speed on the new tools. I have done on-line training using
MS Teams on other subjects and I really like it...like being there without
being there and with none of the associated travel expenses.

Javier,

Javier,

When loading records of such magnitude, fwiw, you will see a huge different if
you DROP INDEX colname IN tablename (or DROP INDEX tablename.columnname) first.

After loading the data, you can BUILD the INDEX as you see fit.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak
