Apologies, should have specified that this is a Variable Form.

What I'd like to do is replace the two CHOOSE structures which pop up over the form with a control which combines the excellent multi-select and check-box features of the Variable List controls with the drop down capability of the combo box, and keep everything on one Form.

Bruce,

No I haven't used that. I had wanted to replicate a "Quickbooks" style drill on a very limited basis and had some success
using a Variable List View.
I think the Enhanced DB-Grid might do what you want.

An intriguing note within the R:Syntax Help for the CHOOSE command:

"Use the CHOOSE command to display the following types of menus: bar with a pull-down..."

I imagine that the control looks like ... a bar with a pull down, much like a combo box.

But I am NOT finding reference, within either the Help OPTIONS text, or within the CHOOSE BUILDER Plugin interface, to the formatting of such an object.

Have you created a "bar with a pull down" CHOOSE object?

Thanks much, Bruce

Bruce,

Short answer...yes, I have simulated it.
However, if I remember correctly, there is a better control for that now, but the name escapes me.

Off-the-wall, perhaps:

Has anyone simulated, in any fashion, the integration of the drop-down feature of a Variable Lookup Combo Box with the Multi-Select / Show Check Box features of a Variable Lookup [ List Box | List View ]?

This would speed aggregation of list variable values, while conserving Form real estate.

The closest I've come is a CHOOSE routine embedded in an EEP, or a Variable Lookup List Box within a nested form.

Just wondering, Bruce
