Karen: This goes into the toolkit. Real basic need today, but this helps
for tomorrow.
Best, Bruce

Bruce: I do it differently, if I understand what you want. If you
want to build an EEP on entry or exit from a grid's column and you want
to test what column the user is in, do this:
SET VAR vCurrentColName TEXT
GETPROPERTY DBGridParts CURRENTCOLUMNNAME 'vCurrentColName'
SWITCH (.vCurrentColName)
CASE 'Component'
-- do something for that column
BREAK
CASE 'ItemNo'
-- do something for this column
BREAK
ENDSW

PROPERTY <DBGridComponentID> 'COLUMNS[n]->FIELDNAME' 'Value'
GETPROPERTY <DBGridComponentID> 'COLUMNS[n]->FIELDNAME' vVarValue
The value for "n" is the column order in the grid from left to right
starting with 0.
Morning Bruce
I believe this might be what your looking for
