All:
It is a rare R:BASE session where I do not have this ESSENTIAL R:BASE
resource open in a web browser on a second display:
https://www.rbase.com/support/rsyntax/rbgx5/readingcommandsyntax.html
I'm showing the COMMAND syntax URL, but all R:BASE FUNCTIONS are
explained there as well; and a ton of other stuff you WILL use.
The R:SYNTAX resource is available from the R:BASE website:
rbase.com | support | Online HTML Documentation | R:Syntax
Choose your flavor: Version 10.0 or 10.5.

Subject: RE: [RBASE-L] - Database Columns Report
From the R> prompt type:
LIST YourTableName
And it will display the columns in the selected table and will stop and
prompt based on your LINES setting and will place a header accordingly.
You can adjust the lines setting using:
SET LINES 50
Or whatever value you want; I believe 20 is the default.
You can select the information and copy it using CTRL-C and paste it
into your favorite editor for further formatting using CTRL-V. You can
also send it directly to the printer using:
OUTPUT PRINTER
LIST YourTableName
OUTPUT SCREEN
Or using just one command:
OUTPUT PRINTER; LIST YourTableName; OUTPUT SCREEN
Hopefully this will get you started.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Database Columns Report
Hello All,
Is there a way to print out all the columns in a table? I am looking
for a way to print out the database tables and columns names.
Thank you
Gary Randall
