Q: Is there a "Suspend/Interrupt Processing" property/feature available for use in EEPs? Q: A "Stop, Quit What You're Doing Right Now, And Wait For the Next Instruction" capability?

In my Forms design approach, all input is captured into variables and temporary tables. Nothing is saved directly to permanent tables until all inputs are in. The operator has four Enhanced Bit Buttons:

[ Save & Next ]
[ Save & Exit ]
[ Discard & Next ]
[ Discard & Exit ]

Each does exactly what the title promises. [ Discard ... ] nulls/clears variables, and deletes rows/drops temp tables depending on whether he's looping [ ... Next ] or hitting [ ... Exit ] ... but, cleanly, only when the operator has run through and completed all input Control EEPs.

As one might expect, [ Discard ... ] produces a cascade of error when focus is still out there among the inputs (sometimes not), dependent upon whatever is being processed at that time.

Thoughts? Much appreciated
