Javier,
The Web Browser controls initially start at the lowest available
version of Internet Explorer for backwards compatibility, and offer
emulation for any specified IE version. A PROPERTY APPLICATION
parameter exists to specify the Internet Explorer version to emulate,
when displaying Web Browser controls in forms.
PROPERTY APPLICATION WEB_BROWSER_EMULATION <value>
The emulation value may be one of the following:
11000 = Internet Explorer 11
10000 = Internet Explorer 10
9000 = Internet Explorer 9
8000 = Internet Explorer 8
7000 = Internet Explorer 7
RESET = Resets the emulation value
Note: The WEB_BROWSER_EMULATION must be set before any instance of a
Web Browser control is created. Any change to WEB_BROWSER_EMULATION
after a Web Browser has been created will take effect the next time
the R:BASE program is opened.
Examples:
PROPERTY APPLICATION WEB_BROWSER_EMULATION 11000
PROPERTY APPLICATION WEB_BROWSER_EMULATION RESET

R:azzak,
You must have read my mind. Earlier this evening I was looking at
the DB Web Browser as a potential way to run a Visual Studio
developed xxx.exe application within a browser, in the absence of a
an object that allows to run it from within a form, and I noticed it
was using the old IE browser and I was going to ask if there was a
way to use the newer Edge browser.
Now, If I can figure out a way to run the xxx.exe application within
a form, I would be a very happy developer.

Tip of the Day: Edge Support for Web Browser Form Controls
Product.......: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5)
Build.........: 10.5.4.11007 or higher
Sections......: Forms
Keywords......: Web Browser, Engine, Edge, Data Folder, IE
Did you know that the DB Web Browser, Variable Web Browser, and Web
Browser form controls were enhanced with a new "Engine Type"
property to specify the browser engine (Internet Explorer/Edge) for
displaying web pages?
With Edge being made the default browser in newer Windows operating
systems, and Web Browser form controls being based upon Internet
Explorer, users and developers now have the option to specify the
underlying browser.
Also in the properties is the Edge data folder that may be specified
for the session information.
In order to use Edge as the browser engine, WebView2 Runtime must be
downloaded and installed, and files must be placed accordingly.
Please refer to the help file instructions for the appropriate Web
Browser control.
Allowing users and developers to easier transition the engine type
for Web Browser based forms, by not having to modify all forms,
application wide PROPERTY commands have been implemented:
GLOBAL_BROWSER_ENGINE - <NO_PREFERRED|IE|EDGE|EDGE_IF_AVAILABLE>
Specifies the Web browser engine to display web pages, globally for
the session
GLOBAL_EDGE_DATA_FOLDER - <path>
Specifies the folder location where Edge places the session
information, globally for the session
PROPERTY APPLICATION GLOBAL_BROWSER_ENGINE EDGE PROPERTY APPLICATION
GLOBAL_EDGE_DATA_FOLDER C:\Temp\EdgeData
To check if WebView2 Runtime is installed, which is required to use
Edge for Web Browser controls, a CHECK_WEBVIEW2 parameter for the
GETPROPERTY command has been added. The result is either OK or NOT FOUND.
GETPROPERTY APPLICATION CHECK_WEBVIEW2 'vWebView2Install'
