Stay tuned.  I am squeaking a programmatic solution that you can control 
from within R:Base.  I have it roughed in and time permitting in a couple 
days I may have it workable (reliably so). 

It's busy here.  Driveways are being resurfaced and Thurs.  I have to 
direct site work for a grandchild's new house here in Bauerlieville (The 
16a. where Becky and I and most of our children/grandchildren/great 
grandchildren live)    :)

The same solution would work as a foundation for Doug Hamilton's 
repositioning of an external programs window.
