Tip of the Day: Using Custom Fonts with the OUTPUT PDF Command
Product.......: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5)
Build.........: 10.5.4.11222 or higher
Sections......: Commands
Keywords......: OUTPUT, PDF, PROPERTY, Default Printer Font

Did you know that a new application property was implemented to allow custom fonts with the OUTPUT PDF command?

The OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT parameter for the PROPERTY command specifies that the "Default Printer Font" settings will be recognized with the OUTPUT FileSpec PDF command.

PROPERTY APPLICATION OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT ON|OFF

By default the OUTPUT FileSpec PDF command uses Courier as the font. When OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT is ON, the Default Printer Font will be used in the output. The default is OFF.

To alter the Default Printer Font setting, select "Settings" > "Default Printer Font" from the main menu bar.

In addition to the font type, the following PROPERTY command parameter specifies whether to use the default printer's paper size with the OUTPUT PDF command.

PROPERTY APPLICATION OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_DEF_PAPER OFF

Very Best R:egards,
