Tip of the Day: Using Dynamic PDF Annotations
Product.......: R:BASE 11
Build.........: 11.0.1.40516 or higher
Section.......: Reports/Labels
Keywords......: PDF Form Controls, Annotation, Title, Content

Did you know that by using dynamic PDF Annotation objects in R: BASE 11, you can pass a variable value to define them? This powerful feature allows for dynamic and flexible Annotations in your reports and labels.

The PDF Annotation object has been enhanced to accept a variable in (.VariableName) format for the Title and Contents properties. If the Title or Content property is in the (.VariableName) format, the value will be expanded; otherwise, it will be treated as a standard text.

The PDF Annotation object was also enhanced to include ten (10) additional annotation types: Check, Checkmark, Circle, Cross, Cross Hairs, Right Arrow, Right Pointer, Star, Up Arrow, and Left Arrow.

And, using the Annotation Color property, the icon/stamp may be assigned any color you choose!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
