Thursday, April 17, 2025 Tip of the Day: New NULLSET Command Product: R:BASE 11 Build: 11.0.2.20415 or higher Section: Commands Keywords: NULLSET, Variable, NULL, Wildcard
Did you know you can set multiple variable values to NULL using the new NULLSET command? The NULLSET command has been implemented to set variable values to NULL for individual variables or a variable list. The command behaves similarly to CLEAR VAR and supports lists and wildcards. Examples: NULLSET VAR vCost, vReportName, vQuantity NULLSET ALL VAR EXCEPT vOutput, vUser NULLSET VAR vCust% Using a wildcard with NULLSET provides the effortless ability to NULL a group of variables with one command. The ability to NULL as a set of variables would also be beneficial in DECLARE CURSOR WHILE loops, right before the next FETCH. Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
