You can quickly update the date and time stamp for forms, reports, and labels using the enhanced Touch utility. To support database migrations, the Touch utility in the Database Explorer enables you to update and save forms, reports, and labels efficiently, just as if they were opened in the designer, modified, and saved. This feature is handy when migrating hundreds of objects between R:BASE versions. Each Database Explorer group bar section (Forms, Reports, and Labels) includes the Touch menu option. Newly added is the "Soft Touch Objects" Database Explorer setting. When enabled, Touch only updates the date and time stamp without opening or saving the object, making the process significantly faster. By default, the Soft Touch setting is off. The Touch utility streamlines the migration of forms, reports, and labels from R:BASE 7.x, Turbo V-8, 9.x, and 10.x to the current release.
