In May 1998, I stepped away from the corporate world and founded the Valencia Technology Group. Our firms share an age and, in many ways, a parallel story. As I transition into retirement, I look back fondly on conferences, collaboration, and the friendships forged—some that endure, some that have ended, and others now moving into retirement as well.
