Subject: [RBASE-L] - Criteria For My Unstableness With
R:Base6.5++ Build 1.862

I have a command file that is called whenever I start
R:Base - even just to
go to the R:> - that sets up any temp tables that forms are
based on and any
variables that are needed. In theory, this gets updated
whenever I make a
change that is intended to be permanent (but not for ad hoc
queries and
while testing). Like the forms, I'll double check it.

My comment was not clear. And deleting the
variable, then saving and closing the form, re-typing the
variable, and putting it back on the form will not change
the datatype.
You have to right click on the variable, select
properties/add, edit variables/highlight the variable, and
change the Variable Type.
Once the form thinks a variable has a certain type,
you have to change that data-type by editing the form
variable.

PS. I 'never' save a file without running R:Style.
