I found this submitted by Albert Berry a while back

========================

This is a bit misleading. A network printer is made to appear as if it were local with the net use command.

NET USE LPT1: \\server\printer

Now the network printer will appear to DOS applications as if it were connected locally on LPT1. Replace the word server with your server name and printer with the printer name.

========================

I hope this helps.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Printing with RBase 6.5++ Dos on Win2K

Well, I can tell my brain is dead today!

Environment is RBase Dos built 1.851xRT03, OS is Win2K, SP3

Command file is:

Output  Printer
Print SubOpen where limit = 10
output screen
Return

Windows Default Printer is :
\\SSW1\HP2200-1.Stalder

VERY simple command, and RBase hangs, and the report doesn't print. These are old 4.5++ command files that are slowly being upgraded, but I have to keep them working until the Win versions are working. I can't seem to find the solution, and it's driving me nuts!

OK, Guru's help a brain drained guy out :)
