Even back in the "old" days R:Base was better at a lots of things (not all)
but "the big boys" got all the press.

I'm delighted that you're winning converts. For all the debates on this list
about "why this doesn't work the way someone thinks it should" it doesn't
mean that there's anything wrong with the product. If it wasn't creating
discussions about the whys and wherefores and pushing people's understanding
forward then you'd need to worry.
