OK Bernie, I got it to work by following your second suggestion.  I
uninstalled, re-installed then ran the update.  Now, I'd like to copy
the files to the other PC's, only which files? ~Claudine :)

I believe it is looking in the Registry for previous install info.  If
you only copied files to this machine then it isn't in your registry. So
update it on the server or other machine that it was originally
installed on and copy it to other machines. Or go back and do the
original install on this machine, then do the update.
