Javier,

I don't think we discussed data types back then. REAL is the real 
problem.  There are only 4 bytes used to store a REAL value. Since 
1983, David M. Blocker's seminars have pointed out that with only 6 
significant digits possible, you would have round off errors in the REAL 
datatype, even with rather small precision numbers.
