Sorry, I haven't used launch yet... so could the command file have 
an odd extension (#$#) to resolve this?

I think you would see about the same thing either way. I guess it's 
a matter of priority.. what they want for very few $$$, or (at best) 
pay for the privilege of re-creating an elaborate report (that already 
exists and is proven) and launching Access. I'd sell it as RBase 
Dos acting like a report writer. People anxious to be rid of Rbase 
Dos apps don't like the UI.... I doubt they care about much else.
