I know this might be a DUH answer, but did you check the table setting and the field settings in the region to make sure the fields are editable. Usually you get that error message when you have no fields in the region that are editable.

That old data normalization bug hit me again. Multiple columns with same names in different tables, that were not all identical, since I was using an Insert, then edit, and they weren't all populated in both tables. I actually had 4 linking columns, instead of the 1 I was thinking. I must compliment Sami Aarons for finding this. I was seing all of the trees, and KNEW there was forest here somewhere. <g>
