We use Linux as a data share and have the R:BASE data base on the Linux data
share using SAMBA, we find its much more stable that NT. We run windows
R:BASE apps at the work stations in Windows. We also run a 3 party produce
called WIN4LIN that allows you to run windows 98 in a of Linux window, its
pretty neat, Win 98 opens in 2 secs. You can run all your windows apps
inside a shell in Linux. There are other produces like LinWindows or Virtual
PC that do the same thing. We have R:BASE apps run in virtual PC , running
on a MAC ibook. There are plenty of way to run the best data base in the
world (R:BASE), it never cease to amaze how robust R:BASE is compared to
other products.

I have a customer still running Rbase on OS/2. They are thinking of moving
to Lunix. Are there any versions of RBase working on a Lunix OS?
