Have made some experience with installation of ODBC using Installshield.
Perhaps somebody could also use this information.

To automate an installation without additional using/distribution of the
original Runtime-disk, I need following entries:

Registry
========
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
        SOFTWARE
                ODBC
                        ODBCINST.INI
                                R:BASE Database Driver (*.rb1)
                                        APILevel                2
                                        ConnectFunctions        YYY
                                        CPTimeout
                                        Driver
[SystemFolder]RB65_32.DLL
                                        DriverODBCVer   02.50
                                        FileExtns               *.rb1
                                        FileUsage               2
                                        Setup
[SystemFolder]RB65INS.DLL
                                        SQLLevel                1
                                        UsageCount              value as
used in your environment
                                ODBC Drivers
                                        R:BASE Database Driver (*.rb1)
value=Installed

[WindowsFolder]ODBCINST.ini
===========================
[ODBC 32 bit Drivers]
R:BASE Database Driver (*.rb1) (32 bit)=Installed
[R:BASE Database Driver (*.rb1) (32 bit)]
Driver=[SystemFolder]RB65_32.DLL
Setup=[SystemFolder]RB65Ins.DLL
32Bit=1

File installation
=================
to [SystemFolder]
RB65_32.DLL
RB65Ins.DLL

to [WindowsFolder]
RB651.MSG
RB652.MSG
RB653.MSG

With this entries, the driver is correct installed and could recognized by
every Windows program.

FINAL REMARK
============
- Distribution only allowed if the enduser also get the license for RBase or
Runtime.
- Used environment: InstallShield Express 3.04, RBase 6.5++, Tested Clients:
WinXP & Win2K
- Razzak, perhaps you could add this information to the Runtime developer
documentation.
