My thanks to anyone who can assist me with this:

We recently upgraded our network server to Novell Netware 6 and our
"installer" copied the old data to the new drive. I am using
6.5++(1.862xRT03) We are running nightly back ups with Backup Exec version
9.

Since this happened we are getting some odd results.

Previously I mentioned that we are getting what appears to be an error in a
system table, most the descriptions for our tables, views and reports have
become scrambled. Items appear with either the wrong description or with a
message "#COM_ID=655..." (...=2 numbers). A couple list members graciously
walked me through unloading and tracing the structure of our databases, and
it didn't resolve anything.

Now this weekend it seems that we have regressed to a former state and this
has me pretty confused, I don't imagine it is an R:Base thing as I've not
ever seen this before with it. BUT can someone help me put a finger on this
please! Since January 1, 2003 we have changed about 1/4 of the people in our
database (election cycle). Friday (3-28-03) we ran labels for commissioners
and found that over 25 of the "removed" people were back and their
replacements were gone. Additionally in another label run, the changes to
about a dozen people and a couple of offices are undone and back to the
pre-end of the year state.

I have heard rumors that copying the database can "break" it, but I know
nothing about this topic. I am building us a whole new creation in 7.0, But
I need this version until I am finished. If anyone has had similar
experiences, or if anyone has some clues that I can track down, I would
appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

Tom Eldred
