There sure is David:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Performance > Virtual Memory.

Walked my way through it to make sure I didn't miss a step in the line above, and 
guess what: 1024 min, 1024 max. I guess Emmitt and I have the same idea!

BTW, I started doing this many years ago in OS/2.  The problem appears to be when the 
size of the file is changeable by the operating system, things can go astray.
