I converted a form from 6.5++ dos to 6.5++ win, then to rbg7. All this was
done after installing Updates 50a.
In forms designer all looks fine, running the form in enter mode nothing can
be entered.
pressing the enter key after the form first comes up gives the error "Cannot
Perform this operation on a closed dataset"
What does this mean?

Bernie,

In case you didn't know, you have posted your question on the general list,
not on the RBG7 list. But, that's OK.

I would check the Form Table Properties.

Database Explorer > Forms > Highlight the Form > Design > Form Designer

Form Designer > Main Menu > Tables > Add/Remove Tables > Table Settings
Main Table Settings... > Row Settings

Make sure that properties for the following options are set to True, i.e, checked.

. Add New Row to the Table
. Replace Existing Rows
. Delete Rows
. Automatic Replacement
. Delete only from Current Table

Then, check the same for Slave Table(s).

Save the Form and then Run in Enter Mode to se what happens.

Hope that helps!

Good Luck!
