Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: copying rb*
files
Atrix,
We use SHARECPY.EXE from the R:Scope package to
do this several times throughout the day. Worst case scenario if you
have to go to one of these backups is that an index might not be
current. A PACK INDEXES will fix that.
Hello
everyone, i was wondering if it
was safe to do something like setup a scheduled event to make a copy of the
rb* files for backup? If a copy
happened at the same time an insert or update happened would it be possible
to get out of sync files since they were being updated as they were being
coppied? Thanks! Atrix PS i
think we solved the problem we were having before w/ the unexplained I/O
error. I think the case was that the query was too complicated and had
too much data to sift through so somewhere along the line something was
running out of space. We simplified it some and now it works fine
