Among many new and enhanced commands, the Next Generation R:BASE 7.0 for Windows also includes enhanced BEEP command to provide sound effects for your applications and can be useful when a process is finished or to signal that an -ERROR- has occurred or simply to catch attention of user!
Example 01: (Normal)
BEEP
will sound your computer's default bell.
Example 02: (BEEP with optional Frequency and Duration)
BEEP 'FREQ 200, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 220, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 230, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 240, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 250, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 260, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 270, 150' BEEP 'FREQ 280, 150'
Example 03: (BEEP with your own WAV file)
BEEP 'FILE C:\winnt\media\tada.wav'
