Hi all,

I'm using rbase for Windows 6.5++ 1.866rt03 on windows xp. I've defined a
column in a table as "long varbit" and a field in a form to corespond to the
column. When I try to load the field from the form rbase crashes. Why does
rbase crash and how do I fix this.... I've looked through all of the online
documentation for data types and forms and can find no documentation on
storing images. Have I missed it and am I doing something wrong?

They're discontinuing support. Not disabling functionality of the
software. When was the last time you called Microsoft for support on
Win98 (which I might note is 5 years old now)? Are you using RBase 4,
or whatever version came out in '98? Does RBTI support the version of
RBase that came out in '98?

Not sure how much this affects any of you in your planning cycles, but
Microsoft has decided that it will discontinue product support for
Windows
2000 Professional as of Apil 2004 and that Win98 was discontinued as of
June
2003. XP's scheduled date of abandondment is December 2005. Windows NT
Server is planned for obsolescnce as of December 2003 as well.

Not sure about you, but this affects my users pretty heavily. Thought
I'd
pass the heads up along...
