I would assume that the you run the install from a
Windows workstation, changing the installation drive
to be a network shared drive.  Then, take whatever
DLLs R:Base installed into the Windows directory of
that system and move them into the R:Base install
directory, so other workstations will be able to find
them.

Any registry keys will be written to the registry of
the workstation used for the install.  I don't know if
R:Base itself uses any of those registry keys -- I
think it's just the installer for updates.  For that
reason, you would probably need to install the updates
from the same workstation as the original install.
