That is exactly the behavior I am trying to get around.

Why would one use a tiered form for entry if they did not want to be
able to see what they had put in? The clearing form is not a firendly
behavior.  I was trying to have an add button which would jump to the
end of the row and press enter to go to the next row, so that the
desired behavor would be exhibited, just as you described.
