Symbol Technologies has an integrated scanner/Pocket PC with 802.11b capabilities.

Jim:
I keep thinking that the ideal solution for inventory would be a system base
on Pocket R:base, where you can hook up a scanner to a PDA and have a
portable integrated solution. Hopefully, I will be working on a system like
this in the next few months. I would be glad to provide information once I
star working on said system, in the mean time, like you, I too will be in
the lookout for ideas, hardware, etc.

What is a more inexpensive setup for the hardware for scanning barcodes.
I need to create an inventory system and need to look into the different
ways one can get the information into the computer. Please email articles
links, ideas and so on.

TIA
Jim Limburg
