   It don't have to be c:\temp but you should have it set for some temp folder. I just
like using C:\temp

  Not sure about XP but in W2k

        Hi Buddy

        I have set scratch on. Do I stilll need to make sure
        they have the
           TEMP=C:\TEMP
           TMP=C:\TEMP
        and where do I put this?

        I never really understood this scratch thing.
        The help says set scratch on stores files on the
        database drive and dir. Set scratch off to store
        files on the current drive and dir. Wouldn't the
        current drive and dir be the same on the db is in?

        Sorry to be so slow in this
        Marc
