If NZ police are still in DOS (developed in 4.5), my experiance is that
limitation of SCONNECT / SATTACH are to severe. In windows version it works
better

There is actually another possible approach to the 2 GB limit problem, and
that is to divide your database into two RBASE databases, and use
SCONNECT  /  SATTACH when connected to database A to reference
tables in database B.  I have not made extensive use of this technique, but
I
believe there are members of this list who have, so you might hear from 
them --
