Looking for ideas here...
I have a directory of pre-existing PDF files to print. How do I send a pre-existing PDF file to the printer to print??
Thom,
If you are using R:BASE 6.5++ (Build:1.866xRT03) or the Next Generation R:BASE 7.0 for Windows, you can use the "LAUNCH with Parameters" command to automate the task of printing a PDF.
Assuming the workstation also have Adobe Acrobat Reader (5.0/6.0) installed accordingly.
Now try the following examples:
Example 01: (Using Acrobat 5.0)
LAUNCH 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe|/p /h D:\RB70DATA\CONCOMP\CUSTOMERS.pdf'
Example 02: (Using Acrobat 6.0)
LAUNCH 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe|/p /h D:\RB70DATA\CONCOMP\CUSTOMERS.pdf'
Keeping above examples in mind, you can totally automate the entire process by passing parameters as variables.
Should you need more details and/or examples, feel free to ask.
Enjoy and make sure to have fun!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
