Gunnar:
On the XP explorer highlight the file(s) you want to compress, right click
and select "Send to" and then select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and it
will create a zipped file with the compressed files; if I remember correctly
it will assign the name of the first selected file and will have the
extension "ZIP" and that's all there is to it...

Mike, David and others!?
I just unloaded my WINZIP basicly since it was only an evaluation copy. I
thought I could use XP defaults since I so many times extracted zip files by
XP. Is there a reversed option in XP to acutally compress the files? If so
how?

Bill I fully accepted the charge for speaking a Non topic issue here but
since this is the best list I ask here.

David,
The Zip is created from WinXP zip. I have downloaded and opened it with
PkZip without error.
Incidentally, when I did that, I discovered the Help File was not in the Zip
file as Intended and I
have corrected that. So If anyone downloaded it and didn't get the Help
file, please do so
again....
