From the Edge: Customizing Data Browser and Editor Settings

The Next Generation R:BASE 7.0 for Windows includes the
option to customize Data Browser/Editor settings, including:

A. Zebra Stripe Odd Color
B. Zebra Stripe Even Color
C. Default Font and Color for All Columns
D. Column Background Color
E. Column Font
F. Cell Size (Width and Height)

Here's how:

01. Start RBG7 (Update 68 and higher)

02. CONNect ConComp

03. At the R> prompt, type the following:

SET LAYOUT ON

04. Database Explorer > Tables > Customer > Open Table

While in Data Browser Window --

A. To Set Zebra Stripe Odd Color:

Main Menu > Settings > Data Browser > Set Odd Color

    Select the color "White" as default or choose your favorite
    color

Click on [OK] button

B. To Set Zebra Stripe Even Color:

Main Menu > Settings > Data Browser > Set Even Color

Select the your Even Color from the list

Click on [OK] button

Now click on "Draw Zebra Stripe" icon on the browser tool bar

Notice the Odd and Even Colors for Data Browser/Editor

C. To Set Default Font and Color for All Columns:

Main Menu > Settings > Data Browser > Set Default Font

    Select appropriate font, style, size, effects and color to your
    comfort level.

Click on [OK] button

D. To Change Column Background Color:

Click on the column you wish to change the background color

Main Menu > Layout > Change Column Background Color...

Select the appropriate color from the Color Palette

Click [OK]

E. To Change Column Font:

Click on the column you wish to change font

Main Menu > Layout > Change Column Font...

    Select appropriate font, style, size, effects and color to
    your comfort level.

Click on [OK] button

F. To Change Cell Size (Width and Height):

Click on the column you wish to change Cell Size

Main Menu > Layout > Change Cell Size...

    Under Cell Properties window change the Cell Width and Height
    accordingly.

Click on [OK] button

05. Save Layout

Main Menu > Layout > Save Layout

Notes:

SET LAYOUT switches saving layouts on or off. When LAYOUT is
set ON, R:BASE saves the layout of data displayed in the Data
Browser when you exit. R:BASE saves layouts for single tables
only. The next time you display the table with the Data Browser,
the layout of data will be as you previously arranged it.

When LAYOUT is set off, R:BASE does not save the layout of data
and ignores any saved layouts. If you want to see a table
displayed in its default format without changing the saved
layout for it, set LAYOUT off before displaying the table.
