Very odd. I did the same as you listed below. My result was
a file created with 0 bytes! Oh well.... too many other things
to do at the moment, so I will have to let it go.

Bob,
I just went into Concomp, selected the contacts by customer report, did the
text file setup (comma delimited), and printed to a text file. I obtained
the expected results. So in principle it works.
My steps:
1. Open the report in the designer.
2. Select File / Text file setup
3. Specify the filename
4. Select the file type as comma delimited
5. Select the detail band
6. Select all objects from the available list and move them to the selected
list
7. Close the designer
8. From db explorer, select the report and click Run
9. Click on File under print target, click OK
10. In the print to file section, select TEXT as the file type
11. Click OK and it works.
