I would venture to guess that this is a security problem.
You need to make sure that the user the Tango service is logged in as has access the the location where you are trying to write the file.
 
Another possability might have to do with your version of R:base and your version ot Oterro.  In the later version of R:base, there were some major changes made to triggers.  Check your version of R:base and your version of Oterro.
 
Something else to keep in mind if you are running this from Tango is what will happen if 2 users run it at the same time.

output blah.txt
 
when i call it from the R> prompt it works fine, when i call it from R:Tango it says "cannot open blah.txt".
 
anyone know why this is or how to get around it?
