Shane, If you _really_ want only the last record (and, maybe, the immediately preceding ones) can you not re-display the data sorted DESC instead of ASC (or whichever way around you're using)?
If you didn't already know, EDIT USING allows you to sort the secondary table(s) using the ARRANGE parameter.
